Unique Piece - Delicate handmade macrame earrings with original Seaham sea glass and gold-filled spacer beads.
The sea glass pieces used here are among the oldest finds – recognizable by their exceptional roundness. The longer glass travels in the sea, the rounder it becomes. At the same time, this makes it increasingly difficult, if not almost impossible, to drill. The internal tension is then so high that it immediately shatters during drilling.
I was very lucky with these two pieces. Two fine cracks formed without destabilizing the glass. Precisely this crack creates an extraordinary light reflection, which gives the earrings a very special depth – and passed them through my quality control.
